Opening Night

My first show opened last night at Antebellum Gallery, along with the annual tea commemorating the death of Oscar Wilde. We were treated to a reading of "The Young King" by Kevin Dulude, and a live performance by Garland; both absolutely wonderful.

Buck Angel

This is a new piece in my show (posted appropriately on this Transgender Day of Remembrance): a portrait of trans superstar Buck Angel. The man is a personal inspiration, and graciously consented to the portrait. I painted him as I envisioned him, as a gentleman boxer of the '20s.

Open Arms in Sacramento

If you're in the Sacramento area for their Second Saturday artwalk in August, I'm donating some drawings to benefit Open Arms, a shelter for homeless persons with HIV/AIDS. Check it out, it's a great cause!

ClOWNIE-BABY-AMPUTEE Piece

Here is a large piece I did for the CLOWNIE-BABY-AMPUTEE show at Antebellum Gallery. I found myself inspired by a lot of older works for this show (by older I mean beyond the golden age illustrator works I'm usually drawn to. Velazquez, Rodin, Gainsborough...)
